Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for a number of years. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. In the ninth grade, after a school audition in which she received praises for her voice, she started to build confidence. The singer not only gained confidence through the audition, but she also changed the direction of her career. In 1992, she earned her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. Her professional career began when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only her the Tony Award for her performance but also a flurry of praise from critics. The following year, in 2007, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. A singer by profession and producer, she's produced one single and an extended work. She's also an activist who works hard to protect LGBT rights.
